Laurettah Nyanchoka Osoro is a Principal Corporate Commercial Associate at Sarange Mwaniki and Company Advocates, based in our Nairobi office. She brings over five years of post-admission experience specializing in intellectual property law, legal research, data privacy compliance, and dispute resolution.

Prior to joining SMC, Laurettah served as Head of Operations and Legal at DealCity Africa from 2021 to 2024, where she developed and implemented comprehensive standard operating procedures across all operational areas while managing strategic and legal risks related to intellectual property, data protection, and emerging technologies. She previously worked as an Associate Advocate at Osoro Mogikoyo & Co Advocates, where she represented clients in litigation, arbitration, and mediation, and assisted clients with intellectual property registration and dispute resolution.

Laurettah’s expertise spans cross-border transactions, contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and she has a proven track record in crafting and negotiating intellectual property contracts that safeguard corporate IP assets. Her strategic approach to legal counsel and risk management has contributed to significant business growth in her previous roles.
